Tutor rules

Every tutor agrees to these before they are listed. They are there to keep you, and the children you teach, safe.

1Never initiate an exchange of personal information (phone number, email, social media) with a family.
2Talk with families only through this site. Never share your number, email or social media, or move a conversation elsewhere.
3Sessions happen at the Millburn library or online — never at anyone’s home.
4Every session is one hour. Be on time.
5If you can’t make it, tell us at least 24 hours ahead.
6Confirm every session in your portal after it happens.
7Keep your hours up to date.
8Every session with a family you met through us is booked and paid through us. Never arrange sessions or payment with them directly.
9Never accept money directly from a family.
10Don’t record sessions or photograph students.
11Keep what you learn about a student private.
12A parent may sit in on any session.
13Online, use a personal Google account, not your school one.
14Tell us straight away if anything worries you.
15We can remove anyone from the roster who breaks these.
